Warranty Information

At Sunset Spas, we want you to feel confident in your purchase long after your hot tub has been delivered. Our Hot Tubs, Saunas and Softubs are supported by manufacturer limited warranties covering qualifying defects in materials and workmanship.

Warranty coverage varies by brand, component, purchase date, and product model. The original manufacturer’s warranty supplied with your product contains the complete terms and will take precedence over this website summary.

H2O Hot Tub Warranty

H2O Spas manufactured after August 1, 2024 and installed in North America include the following limited manufacturer warranty for the original purchaser:

10-Year Structural Warranty

The spa shell is warranted against water loss caused by structural failure for 10 years from the original purchase date.

5-Year Shell-Surface Warranty

The interior surface of the spa is warranted against blistering, cracking, and delamination caused by defects in materials or workmanship for five years.

2-Year Plumbing Warranty

Factory-installed plumbing components are warranted against leaks caused by defects in materials or workmanship for two years.

2-Year Motors and Controls Warranty

The spa’s motors and control system are warranted against malfunction caused by defects in materials or workmanship for two years.

1-Year Warranty on Other Components

Other factory-installed components—including the cabinet, spa cover, audio equipment, jets, control handles, and other moulded plastic fittings—are warranted against qualifying defects for one year.

Obtaining H2O Warranty Service

If you experience a problem that may be covered by the H2O warranty, contact Sunset Spas as soon as possible. Please have your proof of purchase, spa model, serial number, and photographs or videos of the issue available.

For approved warranty claims, covered parts and labour are provided according to the manufacturer’s warranty terms. The spa owner is responsible for ensuring that service technicians have reasonable access to the equipment and affected areas.

Travel or mileage charges may apply, particularly for customers located outside our regular service area.

Sunset Saunas Warranty

Sunset Saunas provides a one-year limited warranty against qualifying defects in materials and workmanship. The warranty applies to the original retail purchaser and begins on the date of delivery.

Softub Warranty

Softub Canada provides a five-year limited warranty against qualifying defects in materials and workmanship. The warranty applies to the original retail purchaser and begins on the date of delivery.

The Softub warranty card must be completed and returned within 30 days to validate the warranty.

Tub Shell and Hydromate®

  • First year: No charge for approved warranty repairs
  • Second through fifth year: $250 deductible per approved repair occurrence

Vinyl Coverings

The vinyl coverings on the tub, Hydromate®, and folding lid are covered for two years:

  • First year: No charge for approved warranty repairs
  • Second year: $250 deductible per approved repair occurrence

An exterior weather cover is strongly recommended when a Softub is installed outdoors. Premature damage caused by weather exposure may not be covered.

Obtaining Softub Warranty Service

Contact Sunset Spas if your Softub develops a problem that may be covered by the warranty. We can help determine the appropriate next step and coordinate with an authorized Softub service provider when required.

Please provide your proof of purchase, model, serial number, description of the issue, and supporting photographs or videos.

Reasonable travel charges may apply when the Softub is located outside the normal service area of the authorized service provider.

Protecting Your Warranty

To maintain warranty eligibility:

  • Register your product within the required time
  • Keep your original receipt and purchase documents
  • Follow the manufacturer’s installation and operating instructions
  • Maintain proper water chemistry
  • Clean and replace filters as recommended
  • Protect the hot tub from freezing
  • Use manufacturer-approved chemicals, parts, and accessories
  • Have covered repairs completed by an authorized dealer or service technician
  • Do not alter or modify the product without manufacturer approval
  • Ensure service panels and equipment remain reasonably accessible

Damage resulting from misuse, neglect, improper installation, incorrect electrical service, unsuitable water chemistry, freezing, unauthorized modifications, unapproved chemicals, or repairs performed by an unauthorized person may not be covered.

Normal wear, fading, weathering, cosmetic deterioration, and consumable maintenance items are generally not considered manufacturing defects.

Warranty Limitations

Manufacturer warranties generally apply only to the original retail purchaser and may end if ownership of the product is transferred.

Commercial, institutional, and rental use may not qualify for standard residential warranty coverage.

Warranty coverage does not normally include site preparation, electrical work, removal of decks or landscaping, crane services, product relocation, or providing access to concealed equipment unless expressly stated by the manufacturer.
